With over 14 years of college coaching experience across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, Tom brings a deep understanding of the recruiting process, player development, and what it takes to succeed at the next level. He has coached at a range of respected programs, including the University of Dayton, University of New Haven, Army West Point, and Mitchell College.

Most recently, Tom served as the Hitting and Infield Coach at the University of Dayton, where he helped lead the team to a record-breaking offensive season and mentored multiple nationally ranked hitters. Earlier in his career, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach at the University of New Haven, where he helped guide the team to two Northeast-10 Conference Championships, multiple NCAA Regional appearances, and a school-record 39 wins.

Over the years, Tom has played a key role in recruiting or developing several players who have gone on to be selected in the MLB Draft, including Josh Walker (Phillies), Matt Chamberlain (Cardinals), Jacob Hurtubise (Mariners), and Randy Ramnarace (Royals). 

Before coaching, he was a successful collegiate player himself—starting at Georgia State University before completing his career at Campbell University as a shortstop and pitcher. He went on to play professionally as a pitcher in the Can-Am League for the Brockton Rox and New Haven County Cutters. 

Throughout his coaching and playing career, Tom has developed a strong reputation for building genuine, lasting relationships with student-athletes and their families. He knows firsthand how complex and competitive the recruiting process can be—and is passionate about helping young players navigate it with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose. 

Having recruited extensively across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, particularly in New England, New York, and New Jersey, Tom brings deep regional knowledge and a wide network of college coaching contacts. His recruiting philosophy focuses on character, academic fit, and long-term development on and off the field—helping players not just get recruited, but find the right college home where they can thrive.”
